What a crazy day!

Well today  they discontinued the pilot program I and 19 others were hired to do. To compensate for that they layed off 20+ people and moved us "lucky" ones to customer service. Altho I am very thankful I still have a job it is so disheartening to have the program our team worked so hard at fail. I feel a great loss for my team members that no longer have a job. I lost part of my family and I have "survivors" remorse. It will not be the same and I do not look forward to the awkward feeling when I return to work tomorrow.

Just when you think you see the light at the end of the tunnel it burns out!

Baltimore

I have been so busy since I got back from Baltimore. I have not had time to blog about my trip until now. It was not that exciting to be quit honest but it was an experience.  We spent a lot of time walking back and forth to the Harbor. I did enjoy all the walking and the Harbor. Our hotel was pretty lame. It did not have much to offer not even a swimming pool. Our first full day there it was 108 outside and no way to cool off unless you wanted to be stuck indoors.  At the Harbor they have a ton of shops and restaurants, Ships, the National Aquarium and water Taxi's. Oh yeah and great people watching opportunities =)

My co-worker Tara and I went to the National aquarium. It takes about 4 hours to walk through the entire exhibit. We only had about 45 min because we had tickets to see the Dolphin show. I enjoyed seeing the dolphins, it was the first time I have seen them in real life. I was disappointed that the show only lasted about 35 min. I guess it was long enough to take good pictures and now I can mark it off my to do list.

Our hotel was across the street from Camden Yards. The stadium of the Baltimore Orioles. We did not get to see a game while we were there, but it made a good place to take pictures. The stadium is on Eutaw Street. I thought it was funny, even funnier to hear them pronounce it (ew-tah) I took a picture next the the 33 because that is my age, not because of who wears that number. I actually don't even know who does.

Our last night in Baltimore they had the Anime Convention. Yay cheap entertainment!!! Those kids get so into it it's almost creepy. We did see it as another great photo op and could not resist getting our picture taken with some of them.

I was never so glad to get out of that city, even more glad that I don't think I will need to go back any time soon. So I was able to mark 3 things of my to do list.

1- Go to Baltimore
2- See Dolphins in real life
3- Get caught in the middle of a freak show.

Done, Done and Done!!

ONE YEAR AGO.

I remember that day as if it was today, the phone call, the words from my father, the shaking and crying out of control. I feel it as if it happened today. I dreaded  Birthday's and Christmas, they came and  went. I told my self 3,6,9 months it will get easier..

Here I am with a lump in my throat, my chest feels tight and I can barely breath. I have her picture and ashes on my shelf, it's hardly a place for me to grieve.

One year ago today, god saw her getting tired and a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around her and whispered come to me. I was not with her when she passed away, even though I loved her dearly, I couldn't have made her stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke my heart that day to prove to me, he only takes the best.....

I miss our daily conversations, I miss hearing her laugh. Everyday I still want to call her and tell her about my day.  I miss hearing her say her favorite cuss words- Bird brain, Chicken shit and Horses roofis. LOL! (yes she called me that many times).

I still catch my self shaking my head when I think about her being gone, it's still so weird to me. Split seccond denial I think.... I am so grateful that I came accros tapes she recorder of her self singing. I am blessed that I can still  hear her voice.  Miss her today as much as I did the day she passed away.....

I Love you mom, always will!!

What A Week!!!!

Well to add to the events that have already taken place this week Alex broke his Clavicle and dislocated his shoulder. His shoulder can not be put back in place until they repair the Clavicle. So right after my Grandma's funeral on Tuesday we get to go to the surgeon and find out what they are going to do and when it will take place. So adding to my stress I leave for Baltimore on a business trip in one week and now my son needs to have surgery. Can I call a "Time Out" please???

At the ER right after they said that it was most likely broke.(before the actual x-ray)

Another Beautiful Angel to watch over us

I received this message from my aunt yesterday-

Jessica,

Grandma is passing away. She has only a few days left. I wanted you to know so that you could come over to say your goodbyes if you can. Will you tell your Dad and the rest of your family? I love you guys.Miss you. Call me at Sharlene's.
Love, Jolynn

My dad called the family as soon as I got the message and we made arrangements for us to visit today after work. We did not know how much time she had but thought we could make it in time.

Before bed I prayed that god would take her with kindness and that her loved one's would be there to greet her. I asked that we would have our chance to say our goodbyes and that she would know how much we love her. I know god works in mysterious ways and it's not for me to question.

I received a text message at 2 am letting me know that our visit would be to late. Early this morning My wonderful, loving grandmother passed away. She is now with her soul mate, 3 daughters (Kathy,Jill & my Mom) as well as many others that passed before her. Her brilliant smile, soft hugs, the smell of fresh Cinnamon rolls, the taste of hot oatmeal with wheat toast and her huge heart will be greatly missed.

I know that as a family reunited in heaven they are safe and they suffer no more.

Date Night!

Last night Jer and I went to dinner at Applebee's Yummmm.... Not good for the diet but sure tasted great! Then we watched the Professional Bull riders Tour in West Jordan. Paid $50.00 for pretty good seats two rows up straight from the gates. We even had chairs with backs :) I was so excited they had 4 guys from the Elite Pro riders that fell through to re qualify for the National Championships.

Our view from our seats. It was still early and no one was sitting on front of us yet.

4 top pro riders. Second from left is a young guy from West Jordan, far right is Brendon Clark.

Our view after the seats in front of us filled up =)

So much for great seats with a great view*sigh* . We could barely even see the riders unless they happened to go around the two fat heads in front of us.  Jer even asked them nicely if they could sit back and the "KID" to the left was about 6+' tall and was a complete jerk and ignored his nice request. His dad to the right sat as low as he could to try and help us out. Young punk with no manners mad cowboys look bad!! After Jer asked them it seemed as if he did it on purpose. Brendon Clark was the "big" named rider there and he won the championship. I tried so hard to take pictures of him riding and when he came out to the arena when he won the kid in front of us stood up and I didn't even get to see him. Pretty disappointed................

Just a few of the better Pictures we took. Notice the cowboy hats in some, I did the best I could to take the pictures above their heads.

Catching up!

Wow it has been a long time since I have been on here. It took like 1,000 attempts to remember my log in     =(  I almost gave up and started over.  Well a lot has changed since last November. I started a new job in January which I love. I now work for Ultradent Products. I am a outbound sales rep. It is so challenging but fun!

My dad moved in with us in April which is also challenging but nice to have him close by. It has been 11 months since mom past away. It gets easier every day but I still miss her terribly. Dad is kind of a constant reminder of her. The two of them together is all I have know for 33 yrs. It's weird to have him here without her. He bought a horse that he named Harley and he spends a ton of time at the property working to keep the grass short and visiting his horse. It has been a great project for him and we spend time together with our horses. It's nice to have something in common.

My boys are growing up so fast. Braydon just finished 10th grade, has a job and a cute girlfriend. Alex finished 7th grade and is full of energy! They both enjoy going to the skate park and would live there if they could.

Well there you have my update for the past few months it in a nut shell...........
