Christmas

It's seems like Christmas came before I knew it. The excitement I usually get this time a year was slow to arrive.
All tho the holiday stresser's at time seem to get us down we still managed to have a great Christmas with our boys.
I am thankful for My husband, my boys and for all the many blessings we have. During all the holiday hustle and the
"society" driven hype it's easy to loose the true meaning of Christmas. We loose touch with what is truly important.
I hope everyone had a wonderful day filled with family and friends. That is the best gift ever!!! We love you!

Christmas Eve

For as long as I can remember it has been a "Parry Family' tradition to have Christmas Eve dinner. We would all go to my parents house have dinner and exchange gifts.
When my parents moved to Idaho 10 years ago I took on the tradition.
We now have it at our house every year. We do not get together as a family on Christmas day so It is very important to keep the traition going.

Lotus Flower

Today I finally got my Lotus Flower tattoo
that I have wanted for a very long time.

Mark did a "cover-up" tattoo for me.
He covered up my first tattoo that I
have had for 15 yrs.

I must say that I wanted to cry like a baby half way through it.
It was the most painful one yet!! After I got home I took a
nap and woke up because it was hurting. Oh-boy the minute
I put pressure on that leg to walk I thought I was gonna die.
It's not a pain that you can just rub better and Im not sure if
Ibu would help much either.

In 3-4 wks after it has healed we are going to add more color to it.
My skin just didn't want to soak up the purple ink. Hopefully
by then I have forgotten how much it hurt. =0)

I love it! Thanks Mark.

PINK PARTY

2 weekends ago I helped my girlfriend Lisa put together a
Breast Cancer Survivor party for her Aunt Karen.
She has had Breast Cancer for 5 yrs, she is in remission
and Is doing GREAT!!
Karen had no idea that we had this planned for her.
She flew in to spend Thanksgiving with the family.
She thought the family was getting together for a BBQ.
When she realized it was for her she was pleasantly
surprised and shed a few joyous tears.
It was great to see the supportive family she has.
Even the boys were sporting the pink!!
It was a great honor for me to have been invited to participate
in celebrating this wonderful woman's courageous and successful battle.

Darn Bugs

Well we use our computer for everything from games, documents & pictures. Basically it is our storage unit. The kids use it all the time to down load even when we ask them not to =0(. Well we got a “darn bug”. The bug was so bad that we had to do a complete system restore. Which unfortunately means we lost EVERYTHING!!!! Yep 4+ years of pictures - gone… Documents - gone… Scrap booking - gone… Everything gone, gone, gone. Fortunately it was not that long ago that I put some pictures on CD’s and all the pictures we put on my family, myspace and blogger I was able to get a few back. It is VERY heart breaking to loose all those memories. When it happened all I could say was “oh -I’m gonna throw up”. We have done a restore many times in the past and have never had this happen. I think that the bug was just so bad that it had to be done. I guess that’s what happens when you don’t know what you are doing!!!

Say Cheese

So yesterday was my day off and we went down to ride Beau.
Unfortunatley with the cold weather and it getting dark
so soon we only get to ride once a week.I have been playing
with the Booksmart program thanks to Cheryl =0).
I told Jer that I needed to get more pictures of Beau for my book.
I didn't think that my ride would end with a photo shoot!

Jer was having too much fun taking the pictures.

At It again!!!

This is what I did today! I still need to paint one wall in the kitchen,
the dining room and the hall going up stairs. Fortunatley we
are painting the last walls solid so it should be a breeze..
It was not as easy as the front room was but it has
worked out okay. I have to wait 7 days and then clear coat it.
After this is complete I think I will be done painting for awhile ;o)

Season's change

Unfortunately the warm weather and outdoor activities
are coming to an end.We had such a wonderful spring and
summer. We enjoyed watching Braydon play his first year
of Lacrosse and Alex his first year of Baseball. We spent
allot of time at the property with the animals and working
with Beau. We went on a wonderful vacation to Oregon
and spent some much deserved time with all of our family.
Braydon and Alex got to go deer hunting with their dad,
uncle and grandpa. We even got in a little bit of camping
with our good friends. Most importantly we spent a lot of
quality time as a family during the busy seasons.

I am sad to see the weather turn cold and the days get shorter.
But I look forward to the activities we choose to keep us an active family.
The season's change and may hinder what activities we can do
but nothing can change the importance spending time as a family.

Topaz Mountain

We spent the day at Topaz Mountain with Levi & Nicole.
It was a warm and Beautiful day!

Jer found a "vug" that he dug as deep as his arm would
reach.

Jer found some real nice Topaz & purple Amethyst.

The Boys had a great time digging and climbing the mountain.
It's a fun way for them to burn off a little energy!!

A pumpkin a day will keep the Vet away!

So my horse has been acting a little weird since Thursday night. He has not willingly let us halter him. He would rather have us make him run than to surrender, although everyday we have finally gotten him to surrender so we could halter him. Tonight we went out to check on him and again to halter him, he was putting up a fuss as expected. I noticed he reacted funny when I put pressure on his nose. I fought with him for a few minutes and the sent him on a little jog. I walked out into the pasture where he came to rest and got him to walk up to me. As always I was talking to him asking him what was wrong and rubbing my hands all over his head. In doing so I realized that his eyes have been “buggery” and that his sinuses looked swollen. So I asked him if he had a cold. Yes I like to think that he told me what was wrong instead of it being “common sense” or “a mothers instinct” . So- what do you do when your kid has a cold???? You give them fruits and veggies that have vitamin C right!! So we gave Beau a bunch of fresh carrots from the garden. Jerald said “pumpkins have vitamin C don’t they?” I told him "pumpkins are good for horses so we might as well give it a shot." So here is Beau with his first pumpkin!

Jer though he would just sniff it, nope he took a big old bite!

Jer held on to the pumpkin as long as he could.

As soon as Jer put what was left of the pumpkin in Beau's bucket he didn't want it any more.

Round up

Today we decided to switch Beau and the baby cow's places with the big cows due to a feed shortage. We used our heads and decided to use Beau to round up the cows and move them to the new location instead of us chasing them on foot. I moved the big cows down to the back side on Beau while Jer and the boys worked on moving the babies to the other side of the gate. The boys gotone baby through the gate and the last one was giving the boys grief so we ended up using Beau to get the last baby moved and I turned it over to Jer to finish up. It is a lot of fun using Beau to
push the cows. He gets so excited when he gets to work.

The boy's are such a big help! I didn't get a pic of Bray cuz he
was on Baby cow duty =0(

I took this picture right before we
left. I just love Utah Mtns.

Jer and I spent the day together and took a drive up
Big & Little Cottonwood Canyon's. Shh.... don't tell his boss =0).
It is absolutley gorgeous this time of year!

(jess's pic's)

Jer and I both took a camera so we could take
our own pictures. It's fun to compare the pictures we take.
It's almost like a contest to see who takes the best ones.

A day well spent with my Hubby!!
